I am a patient and Nicole Gyasi is my assigned primary care physician. Unfortunately, my experience with this doctor has been very disappointing. After my appointment, Dr. Gyasi ordered lab work for a specific condition so that I could receive medication that I need to function on a daily basis. More than a week passed after my blood was drawn, and I received no follow-up regarding results or medication, despite calling the office multiple times and leaving voicemails. When I finally reached the front desk, I was informed that although my blood was drawn, it was never tested for the lab work that Dr. Gyasi had originally ordered. Despite being aware of how essential this medication is for my daily functioning, Dr. Gyasi failed to follow up, ignored pharmacy requests, and did not ensure t
Unfortunately one of the worse experiences with a facility I have had. Recently moved and established care here, but the office is extremely hard to get in contact with. I had baseline labs ran and was told I’d get a call 3-5 days after they received them. I gave them a call 2 weeks after i received a notification that the labs were received, and did not receive a call back until the next week (3 weeks after my initial appointment). I also tried to message via telehealth and received a response back days later. I have tried on serval occasions to schedule appointments for my son after he had an allergic reaction but again, no one answers the phone and the online scheduling doesn’t allow for primary care visits - only urgent care (which is more expensive). I was directed to call…but no one
Came in for a new patient appointment on July 2. I scheduled my appointment the day prior for 5 PM, I was called the day of my appointment to come in at 4 since I was a new patient. Had bloodwork drawn and was told I should hear results the next day or after the holiday weekend. During my visit, I was left in the exam room for over an hour and was not seen by Dr. Grady until after 5:45 when my appointment was for 4 pm. I have left multiple messages asking for my test results without a single phone call back. I will not be returning to this office, find another primary care office.
I've been going here for 9 years now, but looking for a new primary. The clerical staff and providers are great. Caring, patient and kind. Drs Gyasi and Doheny have identified issues I had before that surprised me. Doheny identified that I had shingles when I was 25 that quickly resolved and sutured my finger after an accident. Gyasi has been my primary and I appreciate her knowledge and candidness. That being said, the wait times and appointment availability have always been pretty bad. The doctors are booked to the max and everyone is clearly pushed to overbook and get patients billed in and out (above their heads). Get a morning appointment if you can, because they will be behind schedule by lunch time, usually mid-morning. The costs were reasonable until Primary Care Associates was a
One of the best medical centers I have been to. I have great anxiety about attending medical buildings because of medical issues in the past [I’m often talked over, dismissed, or discriminated against]. However, the two times that I have attended this facility I was met with great hospitality and communication. Yes, I have been misgendered a few times, I can’t expect everyone to be perfect, but as a trans individual I feel safest here compared to 90% of NC doctors as they have made an effort to fill out medical sheets with my preferred name and address me with my preferred name. The area is always clean, I get phone calls and messages about privacy notices and appointments, and it’s just a great place all around to be honest. Thank you!
