Really great experience here. The staff were friendly, professional, and very respectful. The PA was patient and thorough, and the nurse who gave me the shot was amazingly gentle and skilled. I felt listened to and well taken care of, and the whole visit was much smoother and more pleasant than I expected. Definitely appreciate the care I received here, I even won't go anywhere else for medical issues.

I really wish I had read the reviews before waiting seven months to establish care with a new primary care doctor, only to receive a nearly $600 bill for a routine annual exam and basic lab work. As other reviewers have noted, visits are billed as hospital-based services rather than preventive care, which significantly increases the cost. After the visit, I had several email exchanges with the billing department asking whether they could update the coding to reflect that this was a preventive annual exam and that the lab work was for screening, as my insurance recommended. They said they could not change the codes and repeatedly responded with the same explanation: that visits to hospital-managed clinics result in two separate charges—one for the provider and one for hospital facility fee

The waiting area was clean. The receptionists and security were kind and welcoming. There is a parking lot directly outside the building with plenty of parking. They gave me a parking pass (for free) to put in my car windshield during my visit. Dr. Andrea Dotson was absolutely wonderful. She answered all of my questions. I have visited many doctors this past month who were unable to help me (as they did not specialize in what I needed advice on), and I can’t even begin to explain how much of a relief it was speaking with her! Dr. Dotson was patient, understanding and kind. While I am annoyed that it took several doctor visits and my chart messages to finally get a referral, I can say Dr. Dotson was worth the wait! Terrible place. Specially if you have a disable family member that needs immediate attention or a simple prescription for diapers or equipment. I've waited 2 months for a prescription for diapers for my disable daughter and the couldn't get a dang signature from the dr. I called many times, the pharmacy called and faxed papers almost every day. I went personally and they keep saying that I need to wait. Terrible place. Do not choose this clinic or any other clinic from Duke. The worse. How is it possible that if this is the only thing g I need from a dr, he cant even do that?

Kelissa Shillingford is a terribly awful doctor. Does not listen. Prescribes unnecessary meds. Impatient and not compassionate at all. Awful experience.
