***** MILITARY AVOID THIS PLACE ***** They take advantage of military at this office. My husband is active duty military and was referred out to this office from the Barquist dental clinic. The receptionist is very rude, talks over you, rushes off the phone and does not listen. She claims she doesn’t have access to referrals through the Active Duty Dental Program and also told my husband he has to pay the $50 in case of a cancellation last minute. My husband proceeded to tell her over and over again that he does not have to pay the $50 because of his insurance (ADDP reassured us of this) and continued to tell him that it is policy. Horrible office and they need to be taken out of network for serving military. So sad that they would take advantage of service members and claim they don’t kn

Dr. Bachtell was absolutely fantastic. My husband and I were probably the most annoying patients he's ever dealt with and he was so patient, kind and understanding. My husband has massive dental anxiety and is super aggravating about it and I tend to be very overly involved to try to make up for it. He was incredibly kind to us and he worked with us as patients who were paying out of pocket. He extracted teeth that we had been told were only able to be done surgically and he did it quickly and efficiently. Every single person in this office from the front desk to his fantastic assistant made us feel comfortable and were absolutely wonderful. I had gone to this office a few years ago for dental work and had absolutely excellent care. I called for an appointment for something urgent and I was told I couldn’t get in until 3/25. I call 3/25 to confirm my appointment and I get told it is 4/25. The woman that answers the phone is extremely rude to the point that I thought I had the wrong office. If you don’t like your job get a new one. I’m mind blown at the way I have been spoken to with each call into the office. The dentists are great but Do not recommend even calling because you won’t get treated well.

Absolutely the best dentist in Hagerstown. I had always been terrified of going to the dentist and had the bad teeth to prove it. Nevertheless, I went in terrified, and Chip and his assistant were able to keep me calm and comfortable. I had 6 or 7 pulled on top, and my upper denture made. A few months later, I repeated the visit to do my lower denture with 5 or 6 pulled. I recommend Chip to everyone. PS I also had this done without having a prescription for any pain medication either.

Very grateful to have been introduced to Dr. Bachtell and everyone there. Everything was so great from the non-existent wait time, the quality of the work, handling everything with my insurance. Truly couldn't be happier about the whole experience.
