Best Pharmacy In Virginia. It's great to have a place of business that treats you like a friend rather then the next in line, like the big corporate pharmacys. I highly recommend you check them out , personally I switched from CVS.

Small local pharmacy with friendly, professional staff. The staff were helpful and supportive. **The location on Teresa Lane is on a short steep hill. There is a significant "dip" between the street and beginning of the driveway leading to the pharmacy. Leaving the pharmacy go slow if driving a car, it's easy to scrape the bottom panel of the front end. I am unable to avoid this with my car. Down Home pharmacy has a sign reminding drivers to go slowly.**

I started coming to Downhome Pharmacy for several years and they have always been friendly and helpful. I wanted to give my business to a local pharmacy rather than a big chain. But that all changed for me when I tried to explain to the young female pharmacist (the one wearing glasses)that I needed to know if they had all of the drugs (10 different ones) I needed for my wife. She has been in a nursing home since March and we were taking her out Saturday and needed her medications. The pharmacist's response was " I don't know. I have first enter all of the information of the 10 drugs in the computer and that is going to take a long time and she walked away from me saying but we'll be working on them." I left and later I tried to call to speak to the owner but no one was available except

When we didn't have insurance to pay for our prescriptions, this place was a budget-saver! One prescription that was costing us $160 from CVS was $30 here. The difference is astounding. I highly recommend this place for their prices and their customer service.
