DoanDDS Family Dentistry

Great experience with Doan Family Dentistry! The office is small, peaceful and quiet, yet modern.. and all of the staff were lovely! I was taken straight to a room when I arrived, no wait. Dr. Emily did my cleaning herself and it was quick and painless. They were also very accommodating to my multiple reschedule requests- never moving my appointment out further than a couple of weeks! Also, they do $60 cleanings on the first friday of every month and donate the money to charity, which is so awesome! Since insurance only covers one cleaning per year, I'm going to alternate every 6 months.. better oral hygiene + giving to those in need = win win! 😃

Dr.Emily Doan and her staff were very quick and efficient with my cleaning/fillings and left my teeth feeling very clean! She was also very straight to the point in what treatment I needed for my teeth. I would recommend coming to this dental office!

I hadn’t been to a dentist in 2 years because I’m so scared to go to one after my last experience. Fortunately, Dr. Doan was able to squeeze me in for an exam immediately after a friend who I took to her office got their exam. She caught lots of things that needed attention and gave very good direction to my friend and I about how to get our dental needs met in the cases where she was not able to meet them herself (ex. Implants and bone grafts and root canal revisions). She is well versed in the timelines and coverage options for low income people with state insurance, which I appreciate, and I also like it that they donate all the money from their once a month discount cleanings to charity. She had a gentle bedside manner, kind eyes, and pain free hands. Highly recommend.

I moved often in the past and had many dentists. Dr. Doan is one of the most gentle and caring. She is honest, and does not push unnecessary dental fillings and crowns. She accepts state insurance even though they pay very little!! She accepts almost all insurances. It is easy to make an appointment with her. (ps. do not got to CaliDental in SLO. This is the first dentist I've really felt 100% positive about. I appreciated Dr. Evans explaining things as he was doing the exam. It's the first time I had a doctor do it to the extent he did. I personally like knowing the procedures. It is also the first time in years I had a doctor clean my teeth, rather than a dental assistant (mentioning assistant, Kyler RDA was great, he did my x-rays and polished of my teeth, with a awesome sense of humor). What really impressed me, is Dr. Evans did not try to sell me dental work I did not need. He said my teeth and gums were in overall good health. The last few dentists I visited recommended several procedures that were very expensive and optional. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the building, which is an older style. The inside is very mode
