My first visit to Distinctive Dentistry was absolutely outstanding. From the moment I walked in, the team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant. They made me feel comfortable right away. I was truly impressed with Dr. Thorp. She was completely engaged and in control of my visit from start to finish, with the best bedside manner I’ve ever experienced. What really stood out to me was that she personally conducted both my exam and my cleaning — which is rare — and she did an exceptional job. I felt cared for, informed, and confident in the quality of service I was receiving the entire time. I’m so grateful to have found this practice. My husband and I are both looking forward to being long-term patients here. Highly recommend!

Dentist’s freak me out. I had to take anxiety meds before I went to get a crown in December. Dr Thorp and her assistant were beyond awesome. It was such a positive experience that I just went to have the second one done. With no anxiety meds. Another 5 star experience. Everyone there was pleasant and comforting. So glad I found them.

I have been going to Dr. Cunningham for almost 20 years. He has always treated me with respect, and is phenomenal at his profession. He does a wide range of services, and is nearly perfect in every one of them. Painless procedures, and very quick to get you on the schedule in emergencies. Prices are extremely reasonable with insurance. The staff is also amazing! From the front desk to the dental hygienist, they are all simply amazing. If you are looking for a dentist, you can’t go wrong with Distinctive Dentistry.

At my first appointment (had to get a crown reset) to Distinctive Dentistry in Irmo, everyone was very friendly and welcoming, from Judy, the hygienist, to Dr. Thorpe, to the kind woman at the front desk whose name I didn’t get. I think I will continue going there! It’s a daunting task to find a good dentist when you move to a new area, so it’s a relief to have found one!

I was referred to this office and I have no regrets. Dr Cunningham and his staff are friendly and professional. I have referred several people to this office and they are very pleased also. I had concerns about my insurance paying for services I received and they were able to tell me right away as to what I would have to pay. I love that they are able to get you in and out. If you’re looking for a great dentist you should definitely give this office a try.
