Dignity Health - Arroyo Grande Community Hospital

I had a great experience. Everybody was so nice and helpful. Let’s be honest, these kinds of tests are hard, or they can be. They did everything to make it easier for me. Also, I love the live plants. It’s a really nice touch and they look great. It’s a really good vibe, and I really appreciate that.

My 86-year-old father had shoulder surgery on 12/23/25 by Dr. Weiss and spent one night at Arroyo Grande Hospital. The care he received along with the atmoshpere of the hospital was just exceptional. When we arrived on the 23rd we were greeted by several wonderful volunteers at the front desk who escorted us to the day surgery area. The staff in that area were very friendly and professional and were on schedule with our appointment. He ended up needing to stay the night. Although I did not meet his night nurse, my dad said he was very good. Eli was his nurse on the 24th and was responsive to our needs and kept us informed. What my dad, mom, and myself found most impressive was the atmosphere and how the employees genuinely seemed to enjoy working their and working with each other.

I have received fantastic care all around. Whether I was a hospital patient, or having MRI's or CT scans, or staying in the rehabilitation center after having major neurosurgery, everything was just excellent. All the health care providers I came into contact with were simply outstanding and completely professional. Also, they were fun to be around as well; how great is that?! I thank everyone at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital for the different reasons I had to visit. Everything was absolutely wonderful. Take care all, Vicki B

Staff was thorough and attentive. I was a very grateful for the close attention. They paid to what my symptoms were. I have had many doctors that don’t know what’s wrong with you, but you have to go to them and get an approval to go to the person you need to see. And I have a PPO. So my experience, the AG hospital was I’d say by far one of the best I’ve experienced.

There have been huge improvements to Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, mostly in the Emergency Room. I was very impressed by my recent visit. Staff was very courteous and friendly and the doctor who treated me was amazing. And the respiratory therapist was very caring and helpful and the lab and X-ray and ct scan therapist was awesome. I came in very sick and left feeling a whole lot better. Keep up the good work. Thank you very much.
