Denver Regional Rehabilitation Hospital

Where to start? I was admitted for rehabilitation to this facility after a spine surgery. During which I found out I was positive for breast cancer. I cannot say enough positive things about this rehabilitation hospital. From the moment I arrived, I felt cared for, respected, and truly supported. The nurses, therapists, and doctors went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and motivated every single day. The therapy team pushed me in the best way possible — encouraging me when I felt discouraged and celebrating even the smallest victories with me. Their patience, kindness, and professionalism made such a difference in my recovery journey. The facility itself was clean, welcoming, and well-organized, and I always felt safe in their care. I had to stay here for 16 days due to a bad fall. I was treated with such respect and empathy. I didn’t come in contact with one grumpy or negative person. The therapists took a slow pace and never once got annoyed with me. Shannon was my speech therapist and helped with my self esteem as well as my memory and eating, choking, taking my time, and safety issues in and around the whole process. Leigha, Emily, and other OT and PTs were vital in my recovery. Dr Miguel, Goldberg, and Shemesh, and Mo. And all the many others made my stay so enjoyable. I have actually referred this rehab to many of my friends. My granddaughter has been here and so has a dear friend. I will return alter both knee replacements. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’ve never been in a rehab rehabilitation center before but after spending about month here I must say that this has been a very pleasant experience for me. The entire staff is very helpful and kind and courteous. The best part for me being here is the PT activities and the well knowledgeable staff to help you get the most of their activities. I am very pleasantly pleased with my experience and would highly recommend Denver regional rehabilitation

Having been a rehab nurse in the 80's, I freaked out when I woke up in a rehab facility after a brain bleed. I will never be afraid again. After 5 weeks of therapy with the most wonderful team of care providers I am better than I have been in many years. It was not scary. I learned a lot about myself and how I need to proceed with my life so this doesn't happen again. I love you all, nurses, kitchen staff, housekeeping, pharmacy and doctors. You are all God sent. I will never forget any of you.

I’ll miss this place after I leave, the therapists feel like friends to me now. The case management team went so far out of their way to ensure I had services set up that I never had and very much needed. They even helped get me a working phone. I truly am so thankful for what they helped me with that no other rehab ever offered to me. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs rehab.
