I want to personally thank Dr. Appelstein for his professionalism and patient care. My regular dentist indicated that I needed a root canal and their course of action was for me to pay $1,700 for their endodontist who was out of my insurance network. I did some research and based on excellent reviews and in-network insurance I found Dr Appelstein. The office staff was helpful running my insurance (which was going to cover the procedure 100%) and in getting my x-rays from my dentist. But the BEST part was when I showed up for my appointment very nervous to have my first root canal and Dr Appelstein's experience and integrity prevented me from having an unnecessary surgical procedure. Unfortunately. My experience with the hygienist Ava was not pleasant to say the least. She was not pleasant. When i sat in the chair she asked when was my last cleaning and as i was thinking she said "never"? Im like huh? I told her it was in my chart as im a new patient here. She said i know you are a new patient but i thought you would know. I told her 4 months ago. I explained that i changed to my husband's insurance and it all restarted. Now, on with the cleaning..you would think if im a " new patient " there would be some general explanation about what was being done but that didn't happen. As this was my first visit with Dental Solutions, I had a great experience. The staff was very courteous and professional in every way, and my procedure with Dr. Appelstein couldn't have gone more smoothly and painlessly. I would gladly recommend Dental Solutions of Jenkintown to anyone who asked.

Constant disappointment in Dentist offices in general. There’s no need to be disengaged at check in to a person just walking in. For someone who is always early for every doctors appointment to sit in the waiting room for 1 hour (granted I was 15 min earlier than usual) watching people come in after and get chosen into the room for a cleaning for 30 min past your appointment time is unacceptable. I don’t need to have a consistent/the same hygienist, and the fact that I wasn’t even notified that the doctor I normally seen wasn’t there prior to the appointment… why is there no consistency there instead? This is where the communication of the actual matter of the teeth is being discussed biannually. Lastly for a dentist/dr to walk out of the room as a question is leaving my mouth after 3+ hou
