Dental Care of Bonaire

My last two experiences were amazing. A sweet woman by the name of Alex seen me both times. She was so so polite, ask me questions as if she was really concerned. She was very professional, but at the same time made me feel like I was home (No exaggerating ). She took care of me. Not asking me questions like she’s reading from a brochure. She cleaned my teeth and added buttons to for my Invisalign. She did everything efficiently and in good timing. While she was adding my button, she also asked me were there any other teeth that had residue glue that she could clean up for me. She gladly done so. Thank you again Alex.

Literally the most incompetent office staff I have ever dealt with. I had an appointment scheduled with Dental Care of Bonaire in September of 2025 and showed up to my appointment all to be told I had no appointment scheduled. Excuse me? They had my name spelled wrong in their system and this is why I could not be seen. They explained to me how this was my fault, and that there was nothing that could be done. How in the world is it my fault that the office admin spelled my name wrong? Like I don’t know how to spell my name. Then I rescheduled after getting the mistake taken care of. This appointment was 7 months after my original appointment in September. I took the L and went about my day. I had a few bad teeth that were in extreme pain. My usual dentist couldn't get me in for 3 weeks so I called Dental Care of Bonaire and they got me in next day and were absolutely amazing. From the time I walked in, to the hygienist (can't remember her name but she was great) to Dr. Lewis, it was a smooth and great experience and I was set for some extractions the next day with a treatment plan to follow. The next day Dr. Wheat did my extractions and I will say he was the most gentle dentist I've ever had. Never felt one bit of pain, from the injection to the extractions. If you're looking for a dentist office who actually cares about their patients, and aren't judgemental and will give it to you straight and work to getting you a better smile, THIS IS THE PLACE.

I scheduled an appointment with this practice in November of 2025 for January 2026. I received a confirmation of my appointment being booked on December 9th. When I arrived to my appointment after driving an hour away, I was told that my appointment was not scheduled because I did not confirm. I showed them the text from December 9th confirming that my appointment was booked (with my name misspelled by the way), and that I had not received any other communication from their office after that point. They had no explanation other than to reschedule me. They use AI to handle business and it’s a disaster. It was infuriating. I did not have a good experience here at all.

!!BEWARE!! This dental practice uses AI to “find” issues with your teeth. I went for a new patient cleaning and their AI “found”’ that I needed 11 fillings and a crown. I was FLOORED. I have only ever had a couple fillings many years ago and always kept up pretty well with cleanings. I also had no pain or sensitivity. The dentist didn’t bother speaking to me about a treatment plan or my teeth. Instead, she had her dental hygienist attempt to answer my questions. I immediately went for a second opinion at a very reputable dentistry, who found I required NO FILLINGS and NO CROWN. This “technology “ seems like a money-making opportunity to justify excessive and unnecessary procedures for people. The cleaning was mediocre, the office staff was incredibly rude and front desk employee spent her
