Delmar Pediatrics

First-time mom here. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff member who weighs and prepares the baby before seeing the pediatrician has been very stressful. I was repeatedly rushed while handling my newborn, even when my baby was only one week old and completely naked with very slippery skin. As a new mother still learning how to hold my baby, this made me extremely anxious and uncomfortable. The same behavior happened again at our 4-week visit, and it has been the same staff member each time. I hope the clinic can work on being more patient, gentle, and empathetic—especially with first-time parents and newborns.

Always accommodating very nice staff. Dr brand is by far our favorite for a little guy he takes his time with you and no question is ever a bad question. Being a first time, mom, you always worry and have the weird questions, but Dr. Brand always there to help.

Have always had a great experience with any of the docs here (have seen most if not all at this point - for my 1 and 3 year old), as well as the nurses and staff. Would recommend this office to anyone looking for a pediatrician!

Delmar pediatrics was my doctor's office when I was a little girl, where Dr. Looney and Dr. Larner were just starting off and Dr. Pasternik was the head MD. This was long before they moved over to Slingerlands. Delmar pediatrics is now my children's doctor's office. I couldn't imagine taking my boys anywhere else to be treated. We primarily see Dr. Larner and Dr. Brand, but believe all the doctors and NPs there are great and trust them all equally.

We have had consistently good experiences with this practice. Dr. Larner is our primary care physician, and she is amazing. She listens, is very knowledgeable , and truly cares about her patients. We have also seen Dr. Swanson and Veronica. Both have been very helpful and kind. We have always been able to get in for a sick visit the same day, and every provider, nurse, and receptionist have been incredibly kind and patient. As with any doctor, you need to advocate for your child, and this office listens closely when you do.
