Delano Veterinary Hospital

We live in Bakersfield and go out of our way just to come here. The staff is very friendly and caring. We have 2 dogs and they both love coming here. I found the prices reasonable and the vet took his time and never tried selling me anything i didn't need. I trust this place and will be back!

We took our Lilly here for a surgery and have been coming back ever since. Very good prices for both checkups, surgeries and medications. A separate vet gave me a $2,000 price estimate for a surgery this vet did for $760, on top of some things they did mid surgery free of charge. I’m also a Bakersfield native but this is my primary vet and I’ll always recommend them to anyone I know with a pet.

If I could give Delano Vet more than 5 stars I absolutely would!!! From the girls at the front desk, to the techs and both Doctors their care is exceptional. The wait is never too long, but even if it was the care you receive outweighs it all. Even the drive from Bakersfield to Delano is worth every second. Thank you for being amazing!!!

I don’t ever leave reviews but there aren’t enough great things I can say about Dr. Stout and his office staff. I was almost forced to put my dog down (without a diagnosis) at a local animal emergency in Bakersfield because i couldn’t afford the thousands immediately to hospitalize and diagnose. Dr. Stout got me in the Monday after Fourth of July weekend and was simply amazing. Did blood work in house, diagnosed and treated. My dog is on the road to recovery and not euthenization. I have since taken my other dog ( Frenchie) to be seen and it’s considerably more cost efficient than the vets we have been too. He’s so knowledgeable, personable and fair, with keeping your time in mind. I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen past our appointment time. If i could give more stars I wou

With 2 Veterinarians in the office now, the wait time has become minimal, and this is why I gave them 5 stars. I have been going there for about 2 1/2 years and the staff have always been very kind and helpful. The next great addition is the pager system. With 2 dogs I prefer to wait outside. Checking in at the front desk they asked if you would like to wait in the waiting area or in your vehicle. If you choose to stay in your vehicle then they give you a pager and they buzz you when it's your turn, just like many of the restaurants. Thank you Dr. Rick and staff🙂.
