Dawes Fretzin Dermatology

This was one of the most disappointing medical experiences I’ve had. I came in with a visibly swollen, red, painful thumb that appeared infected. After waiting over an hour alone in the exam room, the doctor spent less than three minutes with me, interrupted me while I was speaking, and rushed out after prescribing an antibiotic and ointment. There was no thorough evaluation, no real discussion, and no effort to understand my concerns. When the medication didn’t work, I sent a message through the portal and her assistant told me that the doctor was “surprised” I still had symptoms!! I was instructed to take the same antibiotic despite my concerns about taking it again. I visited the office twice paying $80 per visit for appointments that lasted only a few minutes and resulted in no improve

We've had a very positive experience working with Dr Mary Spolyar and the team at the Westfield office! They are efficient, professional, and courteous. They were also very understanding since my insurance provider had just changed and we hadn't been issued our card or group details yet. We are very impressed with Dr. Spolyar's experience and her thoroughness....she answered our questions with great consideration and as such we highly recommend her!!

Update: I got the bill for my copay and their system is a joke. I paid online and it didn't have an option for a receipt, nor did it email me one. The screen simply said "Thanks for your payment." So now I have to track down the receipt for my flex spending, but they don't answer their phones and trying to sign up for their patient portal requires some kind of secret code. The entire experience with Dawes-Fretzin has been awful. Avoid this place. The doctor (Mary Spolyar) couldn't be bothered to answer my questions. She was in and out of the room in under 5 minutes. Unfriendly and didn't care about how to actually help me. It wasn't like it was busy and she had a ton of patients waiting - the waiting room was empty when I got there and when I left.

Such a shame, beautiful office, uncaring and rude Dr. Waste of my time. My doctor referred me, she said I needed to see a surgeon, but gave no referral and just walked out. Go anywhere else if you want to be treated like a human being.

The staff are great friendly people. They took care of my procedure and responded to all of my questions. The experience was fantastic.
