David Edmund Anstey, MD, MPH

Dr. Ansty is one of the best cardiologists I’ve seen. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and explains everything in a very clear and logical way that helps you understand what’s going on without creating unnecessary fear or anxiety. He takes the time to listen and answer questions, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. His office is also wonderful. The receptionist and his tech assistant are both incredibly kind, helpful, and professional, which makes the whole experience feel smooth and welcoming. I truly feel like I’m in great hands with Dr. Ansty and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a thoughtful and thorough cardiologist.

I highly recommend Dr. Anstey if you need to see a cardiologist. My husband recommended him to me and we are both happy that we found Dr. Anstey. He takes time to listen, is compassionate, and thoughtful in his approach to ordering tests. He called me the same night to let me know my test results were normal. His office assistant, Karina, is also amazing. She scheduled me for a test on the same day of my doctor's visit, got approval from insurance, and personally walked me over to the wing where the tests are run.

This was my first visit with Dr. Anstey. He gave me a very thorough exam and established great patient/doctor rapport. He first asked me what I thought (everyone is self diagnosing via google) and proceeded to talk me though each and every point. With that, we agreed on a plan that involved further testing and monitoring. He helped me to NOT jump to conclusions, removed immediate concerns and guided the conversation with care and empathy. He raised the bar for all Columbia Doctors!

I want to express my deepest appreciation to Dr. Anstey. He has been an important tool for my fast recovery in my heart failure. Very professional, great communication and always following up my health status. I am truly grateful and highly recommend him to anyone seeking outstanding cardiac care.

My cardiologist of 14 years retired. Met with Dr. Anstey the day before thanksgiving (he actually called me the next day on thanksgiving to discuss my bloodwork drawn on my visit) for a new patient visit. This move was overdue since I have other doctors in the Columbia network. Seems professional, very down to earth, and easy to talk to. We discussed my history and his future thoughts for my care at length. He spent time reviewing all the reports I brought that show my history. So far I like what I see and hear. Office staff was also extremely polite. I’m looking forward to my future care with Dr. Anstey.
