Dr Jacobs is professional, precise and importantly makes dental visits no longer a dread. My husband and I both go to him and trust in receiving high quality dental care. His entire team (Odette, Eileen and Annie) is stellar! Annie my hygienist gives thorough cleaning and assessment each time, followed up with practical tips of what I should do at home. It is the best cleaning I have had in years. Eileen the assistant followed up with text messages after my two fillings to make sure everything was going okay. Odette the office manager just makes things happen. She has been with the practice since the previous owner and helped coordinate multiple urgent appointments with ease and efficiency. I've been a patient of Dr. Jacobs since 2018 and I have had a lot of anxiety about "the dentist" since I was young. Dr. Jacobs is personable, professional and communicative. He has always taken the time to explain things simply and answer my plethora of questions when I have them. I've been a patient at this practice for over 20 years and Dr. Jacobs is carrying on the tradition of quality started by his predecessor Dr. Mandor. The practice continues to be expertly managed by Odette (clear, timely communication and scheduling and always working to provide care when needed, especially in emergencies) and Alyssa is a phenomenal hygienist--gentle but thorough, efficient and warm. He's very current on best practices and in intervening in the best way for each patient. There aren’t enough positive things I can say about Dr. Jacobs. I went to him after my previous dentist let my mouth go to s***. Dr. Jacobs did a thorough review and calmly took control of my situation. He sent me to a periodontist and root canal specialist and talked me down from the ledge when I panicked (which I can easily do when it comes to medical stuff). Dr. Jacob’s ability to be professional and kind is what I value most. I also appreciate that he is not looking to get rich off of me, but rather find the best solutions for my needs. Dr. Jacobs is the best dentist I have ever been to in NYC. At the risk of sounding immature, I must admit that I used to have severe anxiety before going to the dentist. It is something I could not get over since having a less than amazing experience as a child at a mediocre practice. I let Dr. Jacobs know I hated going to the dentist so much that I even panicked the night before.
