Dana Hall, MD: Ocean State Dermatology, Inc

I've been going to Dr. Hall for years. I had melanoma, and she keeps a close eye on me. I have such a tremendous amount of faith in her that I'm going to make an appointment for my boss! Believe me! If I didn't trust her, I most certainly wouldn't recommend the guy who signs my paychecks! I want someone who will properly diagnose me and not try to shove products down my throat that I don't need. I also have never had to wait more than 15 minutes in all the years I've been with her. If you're looking for a dermatologist who knows her stuff, you've found her!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Dana Hall and her practice. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and cared for. Dr. Hall is not only an outstanding dermatologist with deep expertise, but she also has a rare combination of compassion, patience, and genuine concern for her patients’ well-being. She takes the time to listen, explain options clearly, and make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. I’ve been going to Dana Hall for many years. She is very caring, listens well and knows exactly what to do for any issue. I have complete confidence whenever I have a problem. If I call the office and need to leave a message, I always get a prompt call back. . The staff is very friendly as soon as you walk in you are greeted and always feel welcome.

This office wouldn't call my insurance to verify it because they could not confirm I was insured. I offered to share my insurance card, asked them to call the insurance company (a Blue Cross insurance), and was told they won't make phone calls, only would look up by DOB or SS # in a database. I have never had this problem with a provider before and wasted well over a month waiting for an appointment that got canceled because they couldn't verify my perfectly valid insurance.

I think Dr. Hall is fantastic, but one of her secretaries is awful… condescending, mean spirited, and unhelpful. (The other one is sweet, but not “in charge.”) Because of such poor treatment from a secretary I’m not going back. How a patient (the customer) is treated when they walk in the door is so important. I’m leaving the practice because of her; and my husband and son are following me… 3 patients (customers) lost because of a nasty secretary. I’m also telling everyone I know… so probably more than just the 3 of us. Dermatologists are everywhere… I’m sure we’ll find another one we like just as much … with a respectful office staff.
