CVS Pharmacy

I am switching from the big corporate CVS to a smaller independently owned pharmacy. The reasons is the CVS pharmacy staff are too overwhelmed with work to care about me a a person. The corporate CVS will not allow COVID19 vaccine to ANYONE in Massachusetts but does allow per FDA guidance to many other states.

Worst pharmacy. Period. People do not realize that CVS is a big and expensive convenience store operated at their wimp. 1. Apparently management decided to cut their payroll and introduced lunch break. They decided they will take a lunch from 1:30 till 2pm. I pointed on the sign stating no lunch time. Pharmacist replied " I wish we could change the sign, we are doing this one year now. ONE YEAR AND THEY DID NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO REPLACE HOURS! 2. You RX is never ready at the time they send you text message. They always make a mistake , ask your to play full amount then apply for reimbursement, etc...

The pharmacy does not answer calls regularly on a promptly basis. I have been on hold for multiple times over 20 minutes and end up hanging up. I have to go into the store to generate a prescription order or to have a question answered. This might be CVS’s marketing ploy to get me into the store to buy other items or the pharmacy staffing cannot handle the calls. Other CVS pharmacies have the same issue. CVS as a conglomerate should have a centralized pharmacy phone service with live operators, especially during theses times.

Pharmacy has incredibly long lines, inefficient procedures for transactions, and card readers that do not work. I feel very bad for the employees who work at this pharmacy. They are very overworked.

CVS goes out of its way to make home delivery difficult even after paying for extra care. Once in store lines are long and attention mediocre.
