CVS Pharmacy

Very friendly staff with prompt refills and excellent service in resolving issues. Story time - I did not have insurance for some time and was using a different pharmacy because they had the lowest self-pay prices. I finally have insurance but they only cover CVS pharmacies. After being prescribed a very expensive medication I initiated the transfer to CVS. CVS staff let me know it usually takes 1-3 business days for the transfer to go through but they would try to get it through ASAP. However within 1/2 an hour of my transfer request I get call that my prescription was transferred and already filled. Now that is an amazing turn-around time. After almost three weeks of trying to get a prescription filled at Walgreens (104th and Federal) they were still unable to figure out how to use a manufacturer's discount, their very own Walgreen's discount, or any other discounts in order to fill my prescription. They could however fill it at full price of about $1,300. I canceled the order and moved it to CVS Pharmacy. CVS had it filled in one day with the manufacturer's card at $25! They were awesome.

Pharmacy's tells me to get a hold of my doctor. I did so. So I am calling on a Sunday when I need to take this medication. Can't get a hold of anybody! Their automated system really sucks! I can't get let me speak to a pharmacist! I take this medication on Sunday evenings! This is just ridiculous! That's why I had everything on autoshipped, but this one is not. Called my doctor midweek and everything was fine They were calling it in and I have heard nothing from the pharmacist and can't even speak to one just ridiculous!

I've been trying for many months to give this place a chance, because it's the closest pharmacy to my house. But tonight was the last straw for me. I'm on day 3 now of trying to fill an important medication. They keep saying they need a "prior auth," however, I know from UC Health app that my doctor has been providing the needed information, each and every time they've asked for it. When I came in this evening about 6:20pm, a very nice gentleman did his best to help me and was very polite and courteous. However, the woman working from behind the back row couldn't have been more rude and dismissive. She had a nasty attitude, shot me an evil glare, and said several times "there's nothing I can do." If I could give less I would! They lie constantly about the medications they have in stock and not in-stock. When you call and leave a voice message it usually takes hours 3+ hours to get a call back if they even call back. Whomever runs it needs to change things so this doesn't keep happening or they just need to be FIRED at this point!!! To allow your employees to lie to the patients about their medication is just so incredibly WRONG!! I would NEVER recommend this pharmacy to anyone!!! Please stay far away for the good of your own health!
