CVS Pharmacy

When you call this pharmacy, you cannot even speak with a live person. Voicemail is the only option. (Red flag number one.) Requested a refill twice in two days for a VITAL medication (never had any problem with Rite Aid filling it). Came in three days after the initial message. It still wasn’t there. Was then informed that it had to go through their specialty pharmacy but was also told the script couldn’t be transferred to another local pharmacy as an alternative at that time because they couldn’t access/find the script. Huh?!? Waited over an hour while an employee made some phone calls. (I live 45 minutes away.) There were six people behind the counter and no one seemed to have a clue how to deal with this situation. Finally left after being told they would figure it out by the next day.

I had been using Safeway but wanted to switch to CVS because of its closer proximity to my house. Instructed my PCP to send a new script there a week before I needed it just to give it ample time in case there were issues. Because of said issues, I called the pharmacy 4 days before I picked it up AND on the day of, just to make sure there were no issues. Had to leave a message every time but staff returned my call, told me it would be ready today. Went in to pick it up today and was told I had to pay cash. When I mentioned having insurance, I was told to go down to the far counter so they could add it. Waited at the far counter for over 10 minutes while one staff assisted customers ahead of me, despite there being at LEAST 6 staff behind the counter. While I waited I counted 7 other custom

Its only been open a week and they've already messed up so much. I used to trust this pharmacy as the Rite Aid pharmacy and before they transitioned to CVS, they were telling everyone that all prescriptions would be transferred to CVS and that you wouldn't need to worry about getting new ones. I come in on the Saturday that my prescription was supposed to be refilled, wait 15 minutes, they then tell me that controlled prescriptions weren't sent over and I need to call my doctor... on a Saturday. I learn a week later that my doctor had already sent a new prescription over with a receipt confirmation but according to the pharmacy, they never got it. I have now been without my medication for a week and a half. I'm never using this pharmacy again and highly suggesting no one else does until ch

I saw a provider at Urgent Care who sent a prescription to CVS as my regular pharmacy was closed. The clerk and the pharmacist made it clear that they couldn't care less, didn't bother to tell me that they were closing, and didn't contact UC. Left me with no medication for the night - won't ever go back.

Transition from Riteaid the CVS seems to be going okay for me. I recognize the same pharmacist and techs from before and they took care of my prescription changeover without any issues. It’s nice to see the store full again.
