CVS Pharmacy

My prescriptions got dumped at CVS after Rite Aid folded, and honestly, I should’ve known the chaos was coming. CVS stays playing in people’s faces — out of stock, delays, “it’ll be ready by after 5 tomorrow” yada yada yada. But this last time? Some tomfoolery for sure. They filled my prescription with a generic that wasn’t even covered, trying to charge me full price, even though my file CLEARLY shows I’ve always gotten the brand name. So I call, thinking we can handle this like adults. Instead, Meg jumps on the phone talking over me, yelling across the pharmacy to other people, then tells me their system has a “bug” and doesn’t save information all the time. I try to ask questions, and she hits me with “I have seven other customers waiting” and throws me on hold like I’m the problem.

I would recommend that no one come to this pharmacy, and I will certainly be moving my further prescriptions over to another pharmacy. Overall, this has been one of the rudest interactions I've ever had at a pharmacy. They never pick up the phone, for either other pharmacists to transfer medications nor for patients. The only way I could even connect with the pharmacy was through the front desk. As a clinician myself, I understand when things get busy, but to never answer the phone at multiple times during the day is ridiculous and unprofessional. I visited CVS on Bryn Mar & City Ave in Bala Cynwyd. I was extremely impressed with how fast I was in & out within 5 min. I had about 5-6 people in front of me & was taken care of in under 2 min….the customer service is always impeccable @ this particular location which is more than I can say about the CVS on 75th & City Line Ave.

I shop at the Bala Cynwyd CVS out of convenience. I live in walking distance. The pharmacy must be understaffed or incompetent because they make a lot of mistakes often. Today felt like the last straw. I placed an order through the CVS app to refill a prescription as I do monthly, I received a confirmation email on 8/10, it showed as pending. The medication was out of stock. I logged in last night to check the status and it was no longer pending. The app asked if I wanted to refill it now, as if I didn’t submit a request 3 days prior. I left feedback for the pharmacy through the app & went in person only to be told that the pharmacy manager (Rasheeda) was OOO and will return tomorrow.
