I had an great experience in the heart catheter lab with the medical team. Very professional and warm. And recovery? WOW Exceptional!! Special shout out to the amazing staff on the fifth floor. Every single one of you took very good care of me. I had a most enjoyable stay with you. Thank you so much!
Doctors, NPs, PAs, RNs are all top notch. But I have been waiting 8 hours to get a returned call from Patient Relations director, Mr. Cabrera. I called at approx 1 pm to lodge a complaint against the apathetic supervisor at the first desk upon entering Interventional Cardiology. Mr. Cabrera secretary listened to my explanation and told me he would call back " in a few minutes". At 4:30 I called again abd was told he would call me back "in a few minutes". It's now 9 p.m. Call me crazy but I don't think he's going to call. And this is a perfect example of "poop rolls downhill". No wonder why the Supervisor at the Interventional Cardiology desk would not come out of her office and speak to me after I complained to the young lady behind the counter that a gentleman was eating a sandwich and dr
Columbia University hospital cares more about profits than patient care. We had to wait over and hour just to get discharged as the travel nurses and cardiologist dont know how to communicate. A simple discharge order took an hour. Don't come here while nurses are being treated like subhumans as you get terrible care. Edit: we actually had to wait 2 hours just to he discharged . Even worse, the PA and the fellow both gave different information. They didnt even inform us that the reason my father-in-law had to stay overnight was because the fellow induced a mechanical arrhythmia, while doing cathertization. Completely irresponsible, they didnt even say he had an arrhythmia. Im lucky I have some medical knowledge but I wouldn't send my dog to this hospital, they would discharge him with cat
Okay some of the nurses are great but a few doctors want me to die instead of getting proper treatment and maintenance thinks I'm stupid using a device that tells the temp of a surface and claiming the room is warmer than it actually is. Between the doctors doing their best to kill me and maintenance letting the rooms to get freezing cold. I got proof the doctors are trying to kill me.
The 3rd floor needs an overhaul and deep cleaning! The bathroom was old and gross. The elevator literally had garbage in it. Like someone swept and left it in the corner! The staff was nice and my doctor was awesome!
