Crestview Acres

I live near Crestview Acres. The property is in deplorable condition and has deteriorated greatly since the closure. My grandmother was a resident there in the early 1980s. As I drove past today, I pulled into the parking lot to speak with a worker who had stepped outside. She told me they were hired to remove tile and drywall. It appears the building will be completely torn down. Sad to see it go but it sounds like it would be too costly to repair.

Our family moved Mom 2.5 months ago from a different facility. Mainly for the convenience of being closer to me. I had heard some negative comments about Crestview but so far I have found the move to be nothing but positive. Mom as adjusted well to the move & I have really enjoyed her being so close. The staff made the transition as smooth as possible. Every staff person that I've had contact with has been helpful, polite, caring to myself, my Mom & others whether it's a coworker or a resident. I have no complaints and if I do have something to say, they encourage me to share my concerns so they can correct anything that could be an issue. I wouldn't hesitate a minute to recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe environment for a loved one. Thanks to all of the Crestview

Short staffed, lots of bruised and battered clients, probably because they need 2 workers to assist clients, sometime lay around after a fall for a long time even if the alarm is going off. Could have laid in feces for hours as no one checked but luckily each time client had visitors who came to help. Was in the dementia unit and all workers left the room with approx. 10 clients by themselves. The food is bad, building is dated and not conducive to dementia clients. I think Crestview parent company can do better and still make a profit and up the rating if not for the patients then for the profit.

This place was one of the worst experiences my family and I have ever gone through. My grandfather was there for 3 days and they never had him sign any papers, we had no idea what room he was in, patients running the nursing stations, numerous times we could not locate anyone for help, and they do not clean the residents up immediately after accidents. When we did find my grandfather he was in someone else’s room with feces in the surrounding area. In the dining room patients were lined up in deteriorating recliners passed out while others wandered everywhere. The atmosphere was terrible. The faculty misrepresented their facility from the beginning, most staff is hired from an outside agencies. VERY poorly staffed. The cook was able to help us with where my grandpa was and walk us to his

Crestview Acres has been closed for almost 3 years. This morning, an Alliant Energy crew disconnected the facility power at the utility pole. They even removed the underground feed lines. Crestview Acres will NEVER reopen!!
