Covenant Village Care Center

My Mom has been at Covenant Villa long term care facility for almost a year. I can not say enough good things about this care HOME! My Mom, Theresa Bartolo (suffering from a terminal illness) is in better health than when she moved into Covenant. I have an insider view as i am there almost everyday visiting my mom. Over the holidays she became Ill with pneumonia and then the flu. The doctors, nurses and aids at Covenant nursed her to overcome these illnesses and bounce back stronger! She enjoys the social aspects of life there and has made many friends with the staff such as Marie Bueserref and Margaret (her main room aids) and her BFF Elizabeth Williams who helps my mom with meals and laughs! There are so many great nurses and aid workers like Julie (nurse) , Guerdine, Candice, Monique,

I can’t say all the staff is bad, but cleanliness is not the top priority there at all. One time I spilt a little bit of a drink and cleaned it up and the paper towel turned black. My father left the hospital to start doing rehab and things got worse as he was there. At first was being over medicated, then contracted pneumonia, then somehow covid and then died at the hospital near by. There were some good nurses there that were always helpful, but even my father’s roommate felt like they mistreated him and didn’t want to be there any longer then he had to. Choose wisely.

Working with Irrena and Cari was an absolute pleasure. They made the transition of moving my 76-year-old mother from Nevada to Florida seamless. She absolutely loves her new community and the campus — it truly feels like home. If you're shopping around, do yourself a favor and give Irrena and Cari a call at the sales office. My husband was a patient here for a month. He arrived with a feeding tube and could barely sit up. Today he came home walking and eating normally again. The staff here was wonderful to him. They were caring and professional and quickly addressed any of our concerns. The food was very good, very tastily prepared, and his physical therapy was appropriate for his condition. There were even occasional activities and musical presentations, which he enjoyed. If you need skilled nursing care, I would recommend Covenant Care Village.

WORST experience of my life! My mother went in for rehab after stroke & heart attack & NEVER came home…she passed away Unable to feed herself, walk, go to the bathroom they still took her to physical therapy where she just sat! I spoke with her nurse, physical therapist, the social worker & ask to speak to a doctor. There was NO doctor at the facility . Spoke with NP (her badge said NP) to ask if mother had another stroke? NO answer….”she has to get worse before she gets better” she replied. Googled NP name no one by that name came up but rather person is listed as a “nurses assistant”. They did not communicate with the family, put her food tray down & walked away, I never saw her receive any medication and she was put in Depends which they changed twice a day I saw my mother suffer HORRI
