Costco Pharmacy

Bad experience with costco service. You call for the pharmacy hours, it is open from 9 but you can't go in if you are not an executive member to pick up your prescription before 10 am. They make you wait 1 hour to get to the pharmacy. It should have it on their schedule that it opens at 10, not mislead people to get there and not be able to get in before 10. That is very disappointing the schedule is not displayed right.

Being stopped at the front door on my way to the pharmacy and being told I had to have an escort or “Upgrade to Gold” was really weird! Treating me like I’m trying to sneak in and “impose on those who pay to be there early”. Tactless and tasteless 💯

Service at the Costco Tigard Pharmacy has been getting worse and worse over the past 2 years, with issues related to refills/ refill prescriptions being the worst among all the bad experiences I’ve had with this pharmacy. 1) They would let a fax order from your doctor’s office sit there for weeks; 2) they would, after you send in your refill request to their system, forget to contact your doctor’s office for a renewal prescription; 3) they would, even after you speak with them in person, forget to send out a prescription transfer order; and 4) they (actually one person, the same lady) would, when you call them about one of those issues mentioned above, be pretty impatient with you, and lose no time interrupting you, with a very rude tone, telling you something like “Look, I’m working on t

I’ve had mostly good experiences here. I appreciate the member discount we get on our prescriptions. It’s nice that most the pharmacists and people working in the pharmacy usually try and be helpful. I have had a couple of experiences over the last few years where they were not too helpful and a bit dismissive and gave the impression they were trying to rush through the transaction with you versus answering questions but aside from those couple times everybody else has been patient and very helpful. I’ve gotten a few vaccines here as well and it was a decent experience, but I would say some improvement could be made on waiting times or at least keeping people who are waiting informed of wait times especially if they have an appointment already made.

After using Fred Meyer pharmacy for years, I’m so mad we don’t change sooner. Costco like everything else they offer is so much more efficient, they answer their phone, and are always friendly. If you’re looking to move away from a grocery store pharmacy, I would 100% recommend Costco. The 3.5 star current rating doesn’t do them justice.
