Costco Pharmacy

Prices are good here but be aware that the pharmacist can make decisions on whether or not to fill your prescription based on their personal opinion. After filling the same, very common, non-controversial prescription each month for years, the pharmacist denied any further refills unless I changed my doctor because she thinks I should be seeing someone more local. I researched company policy and there is nothing anywhere that substantiates this position. Rather than leave my long-term, trusted physician, I will be leaving this pharmacy.

My medication is $4,000.00. They stock it if not picked up in 5 days. So, I call the manager and asked for extra day or so. Manager agreed to that. But when I came to picked it up, it wasn’t saved as I requested and it was placed on restock. They said they would request it again for re-approval, but I never got it because the insurance denied it; so I lost my med, and Costco pharmacy had a loss of $4,000.00. No apology no nothing. If I were an investor or the owner I would be super furious, unless that amount means nothing to them.

They have good prices and they help you to get your medicine the soon as possible. They are really nice and friendly. One time I didn’t find my medicine anywhere and they didn’t have it either but they offered me to order it, that is why I always come here!

If you have coupons for meds (like on GoodRx), make sure the pharmacy tech writes each coupon down. PT insisted all the coupons were the same, then when paying, the discounts didn't go through bc the PT was wrong and didn't want to write down more than one coupon code for the prescriptions. Lazy.

The staff is inefficient. Prescriptions are dropped and not filled. Staff is rude. Don't bother calling, they ignore the phone. I called more than 15 times and no answer, then saw them ignore the phone in person. Underwhelming customer service.
