Costco Pharmacy

My experience today during my visit at Costco, which left me feeling embarrassed and unfairly treated. It felt like I was hunted down like a criminal when I came to patronize with this establishment. When I arrived at the entrance, (there was the employee at the entrance and I did not see any name tag on her vest. She just told me her name was….) there was a large crowd waiting to get inside. I noticed a man standing at the single available scanner, repeatedly waving his phone, which seemed to be causing a delay. Typically, there are two scanners at the entrance, but on this occasion only one was operating. Poor customer service just like everything else in this Costco. I don’t know any other Costco that is run like this however I do know that it’s probably the management team that are a poor representation for the company because they allow their employees to treat everyone like trash.

It's always been fine. I've never had a problem. Nobody has lied or been rude like I'm reading in other reviews. Nobody has been judgmental about my medications like someone wrote. I take some serious meds, and wouldn't be surprised if they did say something out of line. I plan ahead so I never have problems with waiting unless there's a long line. I've seen plenty of impatient customers in a hurry and seen them get rude. Idk. I believe the reviews but can't help but wonder if some of these unhappy customers are often this way elsewhere. See, a lot of people need to feel put upon to feel Important or deserved of special attention. Most have no idea how a pharmacy works. The fact that some reviews are calling people liars is nonsense. It would never be helpful for the staff to outright lie.

The Pharmacists, Pharmacy Techs, and Techs at the Costco Pharmacy Glen Allen Warehouse have always been incredibly knowledgeable, speedy, kind, and helpful , even when they’re packed with customers. This goes for in person interactions as well as over the phone questions and consults. Thank you for always dedicating 1x1 interrupted time when a customer requests a consult. Also, the pharmacy team always appears to be in a positive mood, which typically has me leaving the interaction with a smile. Thank you!! (-Abby)

I consistently have issues with this pharmacy, from misrepresenting and downright lying about wait times (which average over an hour while the Midlothian location averages about 20 minutes), to apathy and even attitude from the cashier when they screw up, and most recently a misplaced prescription that I went to pick up 2 hours after I was told it would be ready and was informed it was never even processed. They have made me late picking up my children multiple times because of telling me "it's almost ready" and convincing me to wait instead of just coming back later. It's the closest location to where I run my errands most days so I have tried to be patient and give them a chance to get their act together, but it has become so intolerable I'll just have to go out of my way to the Midlothi
