Costco Pharmacy

What used to be the highlight and easiest pharmacy option in the Lansing area is now seemingly understaffed and poorly managed. On multiple occasions the wait for prescriptions has been an hour +. Something needs to change. The staff is always courteous and competent but the wait times are unacceptable for normal medications. I've been watching for the past 20 minutes after waiting an hour and one person managed to receive medications ready for them. At least 5 people were told that it will be at least a half hour for their medication to be ready.

I received a condescending attitude from the employee I spoke with at the pharmacy when picking up a new prescription. I didn’t appreciate the lack of patience as it was my first time getting a prescription here.

I tried to transfer my scripts over to Costco when Rite Aid closed. I had nothing but problems from the start. They had me running back and forth between pharmacies and my doctor. It was darn frustrating. Finally I just decided to have my doctor send all new scripts to Costco to end the confusion. Now I'm trying to refill a needed script and again they screwed it up. My bottle shows 2 refills but Costco tells me my script is expired. I NEVER let my scripts expire. What happened is when they got all my new scripts from my doc, they were supposed to cancel all other scripts. Of course they didn't do that and now I'm stuck without a needed medication until my doc can see me next week. I explained it over and over to them and they just simply refuse to except any responsibility. At this point

Whoever was working the till Fri Oct 11 5pm (Josh?) was a beast! He hustled people through an insane line at a breakneck pace while being courteous & accurate. Also, Paul did me a solid by following through, saving me tons of time and a huge headache. Truly appreciated!

Pharmacist was rude poorly communicated and refused to give me wife’s prescription, but later he decided to be “nice” and give it me while I was waiting for my wife to contact me. His customer service skills are not worth your time because he will waste your time. Stood around 30 minutes for no reason other than soothing his ego? No idea. Makes me want to just not shop at Costco again.
