Costco Pharmacy

I see some of these reviews and I see some folks who have access to the Internet, but don't bother to use it in dealing with the pharmacy. Using Costco's pharmacy is very simple. No, it's not the typical drop-it-off-and-wait scenario. They do tons of business for the simple reason they offer the best prices in the area. For those who have to get refills, I learned that lesson early. Ultimately, YOU are responsible for knowing when you need your medication and when to get it refilled. Set up an online pharmacy account, track what you need. You are allowed to order refills within a week of their actual dispense date. Do that and the prescription will be ready when you need to pick it up. This isn't the '70, '80s, '90s or aughts any longer. I have NEVER had a problem when doing this and the

Expect to spend at least 1 hour waiting, regardless of whether you’re picking up a prescription, or getting any type of service. And don’t expect an apology for the wait or any kind of explanation. The pharmacy will literally be vacant with no way to page anyone for god knows how long. I was understanding the first time I picked up a prescription there, but I’ve had this experience every time since then. It’s bizarre. But this is the only pharmacy nearby that has the prescription I need. ALSO, I called on a Friday around 1:50pm to see if a prescription was ready. The employee said it was ready, but that they were all leaving for lunch from 2 to 3. Why would they not stagger their lunch breaks? Honestly, it’s just a very strange pharmacy.

I received my booster shot at the Mayfield pharmacy on 12/2/21. My appointment was 11:45am, I was not seen until 12:30pm. There was only one person administering the vaccine. She was overworked and flustered. This is not good customer service. Costco should not offer the vaccine or schedule appointments back to back if they do not have the staff to accommodate. I was very disappointed and surprised by this. I witnessed several pharmacy staff standing around talking to each other and customers while a group of customers were standing around waiting to be called for vaccinations. I will not patronize this pharmacy again.

COSTCO PHARMACY IS WHERE ITS AT!!! Never Again will I use any other pharmacy. And for people without a Costco membership - you too can use the pharmacy! Best kept secret. I have been getting flu and COVID Shots at the Costco pharmacy for the last two years. Never charged a penny. My wife had a prescription filled at CVS in December. They changed an arm and a keg even after insurance. When she needed a refill I suggested she have her doctor call it in to Costco to see what the price difference is. Costco texted when the prescription was ready for pickup with the price. We were both incredibly shocked to find the cost to be over 75% less at Costco!!! I'm sure your milage may vary depending on the prescription. But I'm pretty sure that their prices are going to be hard to beat.

Scarily incompetent and under staffed. I had to transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy that charged more because I consistently had issues getting my refills here. My medicine was rarely ready, even when calling days ahead and I never waited less than 30 minutes even when it was ready.
