Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Muskogee

I recently visited my sister at Cornerstone Hospital in Muskogee, and I cannot say enough good things about the care she received. Each time I visited, the staff was attentive, compassionate and genuinely caring. The nurses and aides take excellent care of her and always make sure our questions are answered. If we have needed anything at all, it truly has felt like we could ask anyone from nurses, staff or even the office and someone was always available and willing to help. The docs are very nice too when we have been there at the same time. We have felt supported every step of the way, and that makes her time much easier. I am truly grateful for the care, professionalism, and kindness shown to our family. Helen

Cornerstone is an outstanding facility. The staff here genuinely takes great care of their patients. From the Respiratory Services team to the Front Office personnel, everyone makes an effort to ensure you feel welcome. I would choose this place over any other long-term acute care (LTAC) facility for anyone I cared about who needed care.

Watching someone you love be critically ill is overwhelming, but this hospital made a difficult time feel manageable. From the nurses to the physicians to the support staff there was a clear sense of compassion, professionalism and teamwork. My husband was treated with dignity, respect and genuine care, and I never felt left in the dark. Questions were answered, concerns were taken seriously and it truly felt like everyone was invested in his recovery. I’m deeply grateful for the care he received and for the people who showed up for our family when it mattered most.

They are not much on closing doors while taking care of patients. I recently walked in to ICU to check on my mom and saw an older person in the room next to her. She had glass wall and glass doors, with a curtain that could be closed but instead they decided to take care of her or him with everything open. I watch them for a second and turned fast as I saw the naked adults being rolled around and I am not sure what they we're doing. Their was no noises from machines going off, no panic, all was normal the whole time I was their as I saw the room when I left and the person was still fine. They do not take in consideration if your family is their before they bare them for what they need to do. I have seen more of my mom here they in my life.
