Urgent Care of Muskogee

My family of 7 had to be seen tonight for illness. The DR was absolutely amazing. We live an hour away and drove to Muskogee just to see this specific provider Dr. Shakeel because of the level of care he provides being that we have been seen here before. Hands down would recommend this facility to anyone if you're not able to get into your primary on short notice.

Everyone in the office was very nice, helpful and professional. Made my visit pleasant. The Dr did a great job stitching up my finger.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding my recent experience at this facility. Unfortunately, I found their check-in procedures to be neither efficient nor practical, which led to frustrations during my visit. The receptionist is easily the most apathetic person I have encountered at a medical facility. Additionally, I encountered dismissive remarks when seeking clarification on specific questions. I was surprised to learn that minors, such as my twelve-year-olds are not permitted to wait in the lobby without a parent, even when the parent is the patient. This policy seemed unnecessarily restrictive. Furthermore, I received combative responses when I expressed my preference for Walgreens over the pharmacy options suggested by the staff, which only added to my discomfort. The overal

If an urgent care cannot draw blood and send it to a lab, that isn't very good. That is literally as basic as it gets. The urgent care isn't doing the tests. They are just assessing the situation and drawing blood! The lab does all the testing. So for a receptionist to say we can't draw blood here is crazy. Definitely tells me to never go here.

The nurse practitioner is very knowledgeable however the older lady at the front desk is rude very judgemental and unprofessional. She would be the person you first come in contact with when you go in the door. I looked for a email to email regarding the interaction I had. Found no email that is why I am posting here. The same lady screamed at my friend over the phone. I had not been back for a year. A year ago I had the same experience with the same lady. I was hoping that would have changed in a year.
