Concerned Dental Care of Port Jefferson

Nothing but great experiences here after two root canals and two crowns put in. Dr Asgar is great and the dr who did my root canal (can’t remember his name) was very straight forward and made me feel comfortable. The front desk staff is very friendly and the vibe in here is relaxing. I’ve had many bad experiences with dentists in the past so I had a lot of anxiety before getting all of this work done, but I couldn’t be happier with my experience here.

A patient for over 30 years, phone support has been a challenge the past year. To book I gave up waiting for a return call and went to office. Cindy no longer working in Port Jeff. She is a professional joy. Person at desk was kind, professional and very helpful, (Katie), however, another at desk was bent over, completely of stomach aches, saying she felt like she was dying. I offered help. Person (female, blonde) waved me off. She continued to loudly complain but did so speaking loudly to front desk staff from her office. Waiting patients were initially concerned but then advised, via loud private conversation, "it" had "passed". Hmmm Booked with Dr. Dhar. He did terrific work last year. My first visit was great!! Facility is clean and sterile. Staff from front desk to Doctor, were attentive, informed and seem to have a genuine interest in giving you personal care and treatment. I will keep you posted.

Unfortunately, under the new ownership, front end team doesnt seem to care about the patients as much as much as the dental hygenist do. They charged me for a cleaning which was covered under the plan and they still wont refund me. They also dont have the records of why they charged my credit card. They also wanted to redo some fillings, but a second opinion said everything looked fine. I watched how they treated another patient who was waiting for over an hour she said, the front desk person should have gone to the back to check with the dentist to find out what is going on. The same front desk person took.a call and rolled her eyes. The office has been renovated, but the real renovation needs to be with the new front staff.

Annie and Katie are awesome at the front desk. I find that the manager yelling from her office that is located behind the front desk that she needs her Xanax as she shakes her pill container randomly falling is very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I will take my business elsewhere until she is gone.
