The text updates and my chart notifications were nice. When I was taken back to my room the Dr. and RN were waiting on me. They were super professional and efficient not rushed. When I had my IV placed it was the single best experience I have had. I have never had an IV site not hurt. I could tell that there have been changes made to improve patient experience.
I was in the ER for a migraine. I had went to the bathroom when I came back my IV line had gotten blood in it. I was concerned. A nurse was walking by and I said can you help me. She looked at me and start pressing in the IV bag. Then she proceeded to say, Im not not even clocked in yet. I said, well your a nurse aren't you? I said to it shouldn't matter if your clocked in our not. I was not happy with the way she didn't want to be bothered by me. Needless to say I never had such bad treatment from a nurse before. The nurse was working in CDU unit on second shift.
I would give 0 stars if i could. They didn't offer any tests, they didn't even touch my son, feel his glands, look in his ears or throat. Went to the dr a few days later, he has flu B, but was too far past the window for treatment. He should have been given at least a flu test at the Emergency Dept and he would have been able to get some treatment. We were there for 4.5 hours in a room, we got tylenol, zofran and a snack. Never even saw a doctor. We will never go back.
Dr Patel was the first doctor to actually listen to my concerns, run tests, and gave me answers!!! He and every single person I encountered during my visit was top notch. Best ER experience ever.
It took over 2 hours in the waiting room when our child’s pediatric office advised us to go to the ER for vomiting for over 6 hours. Then we were placed finally in a triage room and the PA was in there for less than 5 minutes. Nurse gave zofran and said they’d be back in 15 minutes to make sure she could hold down water. It took almost an hour to hear from another nurse. I had to give my child water. And then it took over 20 minutes for discharge paperwork. Yes it’s an ER for a reason. I work in the medical field myself. But to have not a single nurse follow up or provide care after meds were given, should not be acceptable.
