Columbus Regional Health Endocrinology & Diabetes

Diabetes Doctor talks down to you and is rude and the staff is also rude. Just because you have to go to a Diabetes doctor does not mean you have to go to her. That is why I'm going to see another Doctor. I would go outside of Columbus then go back to see her.

My mom had an appointment there yesterday and it's honestly the worst experience she has ever had. When we got there we had to wait 20 minutes outside (we rely on medical transportation) because they was having a meeting. There is no where to sit outside so my mom was in pain the whole time. When we did get inside the lady working the front desk had a attitude. Then when we finally get to the back the doctor took almost 30 minutes to come into the room. The doctor then didn't take a moment to even look at my mother's chart to see about any of her information. We ended up having to tell her everything. We kept telling her about my about my mother's kidney disease but the doctor kept pushing that to the side like she didn't care. The doctor didn't take time to explain anything at all. Then t

Long story. I sent a message via MyChart yesterday asking if the endocrinologist could resubmit a PA because I was told by the pharmacy that my family dr had sent one for the same medication and that cancelled out the one the endocrinologist had sent which was showing approved on my CVS app. The app was showing the one the endocrinologist had sent was approved but we hadn't realized that and my family dr sent in another request because we've been trying to get this approved for over a month. It's a super complicated situation and has been hell to deal with honestly. At this point I'm frustrated and ask my family dr not to send anymore because she's obviously not wording things correctly to get it approved and ask the endocrinologist to send another. I apologize and explain how upset I am

I came here with a friend as a support person, my friend has been through a lot and is trying her/his best to get back on track with controlling diabetes. Except the doctor was not much of help. The doctor was making such rude faces and acting in a way that was not expected. Seemed very immature for a doctor. She acted as if she didn't want to be there, rolling her eyes and basically not interested in my friend's health. I personally would never recommend this office for those reasons and many more, all based of the doctor's reaction. The front desk employees were the only ones we felt comfortable talking to.

Dr. Kessler was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Excellent explanation of every medicine she prescribed - her reasoning for prescribing it to me in particular, what it did, and how it worked with my body and other medicines. It was so much more encouraging than taking shots and pills because the doctor said so and almost-blindly hoping to find what works.
