Columbia Basin Hospital: Emergency Room

I came to the er in Ephrata Wa with lower abdominal pain. I have significant issues with my belly (14 surgeries in 4 years. 3 to keep me from dying.) I have to be checked out when I have increasing pain that I can't get under control. Not for pain meds but to make sure it's nothing more serious. I just moved to Washington from Kansas and changed jobs, so I have not been able to establish Dr's here because I don't have insurance yet. Dr. Cwik began to tell me that my pain wasnt deep enough to be serious, that its superficial. I began to have a bad flare up of heartburn to which he tried to tell me to admit to him that I wasn't having that much pain. He said he was not giving me another CT scan or pain meds. Went in to try to address a potential ovarian cyst. Upon entry I had a nurse inform me as we checked me in that they do not have the equipment to do an ultrasound to see it but implied the doctor could regardless still evaluate me and decide if I likely do or do not have one and said they could refer me out from there. Upon the female DOCTORS arrival however. I was met with, "So when you got here you were informed we don't have the equipment for the ultrasound," I respond yes, to which she follows up with in a rude condescending tone, "What I want to know is why did you check in knowing we couldn't help you?" I said, "Because your nurse 1. Told me AS he checked me in and 2. Indicated you could STLL evaluate me and decide if I likely have one or not." The entirety of the 5minutes that we ta

This hospital is about as worthless as they come, awful bedside manner, obvious they don't care about the patients that walks in the door, very judgmental nurses with the lack of professionalism. I have been into many hospitals due to my medical history and am very patient and try my best to be to be couretious to all. I almost died trying to travel to Moses lake hospital because they denied me when I had a ruptured etopic pregnany and was bleeding into my stomach, if I could give negative stars I would, this hospital does not by any mean deserve 1 star.

Worst sperience ever!! Racist, bad manners, and unrespectful service from everyone. Got there around 12am after a car accident i am 5 months pregnant and the care for me and my family who was really injured was so bad. I don't know what was worst us getting hit by another car on our way camping or the care we received at this place. They were rude in every way and everything i would heard from the assistant was "I'm not a baby doctor" (literally 20 or so times) "I don't know if we have anything for pregnant women because we don't have supplys for pregnant woman" "like i say I think you will be fine" me and my 5 year old share the small bed to be treated and they will only say she looks ok she's fine maybe she's just tired. I have never been so insulted I would agree if I could give negative start I would and if I don’t wake up tomorrow due to there lack of care I’m sure they wouldn’t lose a wink of sleep that my children would no longer have there mother, how could a place that is not equipped to deliver baby’s, help some one with there ileostomy bag ,help possible injured children, teeth infection, anxiety, or really any medical issues why are they even there? Well other then to make people feel like stupid for being concerned for there health why is this even a hospital when really it just endangers life’s and is a waste of money.
