Safeway Pharmacy

I do not recommend this pharmacy. It takes too long for them to answer the phone. The Walmart pharmacy tried to call them for confirmation to transfer my prescription due to no availability at their pharmacy, but no one answered. I had to go to the Safeway pharmacy just to inform them. It's too lousy. Much better to transfer to Walmart pharmacy they are faster than Safeway.

Whether it be two hours after the doctor sent it in or two days after the doctor sent it in prescriptions are still not filled. Constantly have to go to the pharmacy in person to remind to fill prescription. They won’t answer the phone. And even asking for it to be filled, sometimes it won’t be filled.

Waited in line 1 hr 40 mins. Went to pick up prescription sent by my doctor on the 29th to be refilled on the 5th. It was the 6th so I went to pick up. They won't answer their phone so you have people in line to make refill requests and those in line to pick up prescriptions. That means the same people stand in line twice for the same prescription. Every one was mad. They were not ready for prime time when they accepted all of Rite-Aids customers. This town is bigger than you think. We also have folks in rural areas who pick up prescriptions in Ephrata. Might I also add that there was only one person at the cash registers. There are two cash registers in the pharmacy. There is also a window to drop off prescriptions but they keep that closed. I am retired and most of the people were older

Even though there is a long line, the pharmacy staff work hard with the small space they have. Put yourself in their shoes and be kind. Kindness goes a long way. They are exhausted by the end of their shift trying to get everyone's meds filled.

I went in to pick up my medicine on 6/23/25 and as I was checking out the pharmacist said to me, you know you can only take two of these a day right, I was like look I’ve been taking these since you were in diapers, his remarks just kept coming as if i was abusing my migraine meds; I was completely caught off guard this medication was two weeks overdue for a refill and I’ve never abused medication; one of Rite Aid’s Associate was helping me and my husband Who just picked up 80 Narcotics and he never said one word to him. It wouldn’t have bothered me so much, but there was a line of people, and he was speaking over the glass. He didn’t approach me in private and consult with me. He shouted over the glass in front of everyone.😡 He said you will follow policies or we won’t fill your prescript
