Claude Steriade

I went in to Dr. Steriade’s office after a spinal tap showed concerning results just to be told I have a mood disorder and needed therapy. I advocated for myself to her and the fellows who work under her, only to be told to try therapeutic techniques like CBT. I ended up seeing another doctor who diagnosed me with autoimmune encephalitis and I needed to be treated immediately. She had not reviewed my results beforehand and wanted to diagnose without knowing any of the facts. She is unprofessional, unqualified, and needs much more training in her field. She will not listen to you and will discount your experience. Do NOT trust her with your care.
