Impatient doctor Leon Sultan looked at my ear, tried to get the wax out, and when he couldn’t, he changed his mind and literally made up the first diagnosis that came to his mind and said I have an ear canal infection and prescribed me ear drops for like 10 days. He either LIED OR DOESNT KNOW MEDICINE!!!! Since I didn’t trust him because he dedicated about 1 minute to seeing me, I decided to go right away to the New York eye & ear urgent care, and they confirmed that I did not have any infections in my ear. They dedicated a normal amount of time needed to seeing a patient, and removed the wax stuck in my ear which was the only problem. If I would’ve listened to “Dr.” Sultan, then I would still have the same issue 10 days later. Now I still need to pay CityMD $250 for my visit with the “Dr”

Made an online appointment last night and arrived next morning 45 minutes prior. They took me right in and the doctor/staff were excellent. Quick diagnosis and prescriptions were logged within 20 minutes. Would highly recommend if visiting from out of town and need something quickly.

I came in for continuation of rabies post-exposure vaccination (dose #3) with full documentation. The provider refused to administer the vaccine, incorrectly insisted I needed HRIG at this stage, and would not explain the medical reasoning. When I asked if the vaccine could be given here or if they could coordinate with another urgent care, the doctor ended the conversation and walked out (“I’m going to step out”). No handoff, no explanation, no attempt to help. This was unprofessional, dismissive, and extremely frustrating, especially given the anxiety around rabies exposure. If a clinic is unwilling or unable to manage standard follow-up care, patients should be told respectfully and clearly — not shut down. I would not return here for anything time-sensitive or complex.

Front desk people were nice, doctor was pretty rude for an urgent care place. Refused to answer questions about follow up appointments because “she doesn’t deal with billing”. Pretty insensitive thing to say to someone if you work in patient care. Every doctor that me and my family has ever had has answered questions about insurance/ follow ups bc money is inevitably integrated with treatment. Hopefully she gains some professionalism in the future.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’ll still be a pig sums up my experience at this CityMD. I took a bad fall after arriving in NYC for a family vacation and was bleeding badly from my mouth. The hotel directed our family to this CityMD for urgent care. I was encouraged by the lack of a line and clean waiting area, but my experience went downhill from there. We had to do an online check in even though the guy at the front desk was doing nothing, which was long and cumbersome given I couldn’t type as I was holding a bloody gauze over my mouth so my frazzled husband had to do it for me. When we finally got into the exam room, I could barely understand the doctor (who had a thick accent), and the odd tension between him and the nurse was uncomfortable. He looked in my mouth and immediatel
