CityMD West 146th Urgent Care - NYC

Overall, this was a very positive experience. I’d especially like to give a shoutout to Andrew Lapsley. He was excellent - professional, non-judgmental, and very easy to talk to. He created a comfortable, welcoming environment to discuss sexual health openly, which I really appreciated.

Wonderful service and great care. They do the best they can with limited space. Did wait around 35-40 minutes but was promptly seen when they took me into the patient room.

Juan Garcia needs to be fired. I came in for an injury with my ankle, I wore a ankle brace inside to combat the pain—a pain so severe that I had to miss a day from work to get it seen about. The nurses were great, but the actual doctor himself, Garcia, wasn't. I am shocked how he was hired with the neglect he does during his "examinations" (if you can even call it that.) Doctor Garcia entered the room, knowing I was their to evaluate my ankle injury and didn't do a single examination on the injured foot. He asked why I had "even came in" dismissive of my injury and uncaring of the pain I was in. He didn't ask me to take off my sock so he could see the swell, he didn't test movement immobility in the injured foot, or numbness along the line. He didn't even try to get an scan to see if th

I would recommend requesting a different doctor than James Kang. He was dismissive and unkind during my visit, and it felt like he hadn't been properly briefed by the nurse, as I had to repeat everything I'd already shared. He seemed uninterested while I was speaking and rushed me out without providing clear or helpful instructions for recovery. This was by far the worst experience I've had with a doctor at this location. I regret spending $225 on a visit that left me feeling unheard and unsupported. If I could give less than one star, I would.

The two young ladies working the front desk today around noon were prompt and friendly. Dr. Gloria Nimo is kind and attentive. Would recommend this location.
