CityMD West 125th Urgent Care - NYC

Every time I attend to this city MD, all of the staff are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The signing in process is very simple, fast and straightforward. MAs are great as well as the doctors! 😊 It’s also very clean in there. Never seen it dirty. Thank you all 😊

CityMD – 125th Street East Side I had a terrible experience at this location. When I went in to be seen, I was denied service simply because my insurance wasn’t currently active and I couldn’t pay upfront. Instead of allowing me to be treated and billed later, they turned me away, leaving me unable to check on my health when I really needed care. Healthcare should never come down to being forced to pay first or be denied, especially at an urgent care where people go for help. The staff showed no compassion and no willingness to work with my situation. Patients should never be made to feel like they don’t matter because of insurance status. This was incredibly disappointing, and I will not return to this location.

I have to say first that I was seen in minutes after registration. The staff was friendly and made me comfortable being there even though I was in extreme pain. I was seen by doctor Sophia. She was the best doctor I think I have ever seen. She knew where my pain was stemming from without me even showing her, she explained my options for the diagnosis in a way I could understand. She gave me an injection In a way i barely felt. I have to give her mention for being a knowledgeable professional with the type of kindness that would make any patient feel better.

At this time I would like to thank the team and Dr Thomas for their excellent work and following up The office was very clean. Dr Thomas was very helpful and caring. He called me back twice to check on me. Thank You so much for the help. Today I am feeling much better. I give City Md on 125th St & Lenox Ave 10 ⭐️ and will recommend to all.

Dr.Rittan, all though my first sight of a white jacket in a black wkman I was impressed but then I know is colored folk is either a hit or miss depending on the day, the approach, exc… and sure enought she was the absolute worse Dr. I have ever seen she belittled my concerns as if it was nothing and I felt so awkward I had to leave this is not what I am paying for ! And I refuse to waste my time and money on a rude condescending person no matter if she is a Dr or not . She is rude as hell and she didn’t care about anything I explained to her. I really wasted my time coming here! Do not waste your time or money!’
