CityMD Rego Park Urgent Care - Queens

I went to CityMD Rego Park Urgent Care around 4:55 PM with my brother, who had just fallen. His foot was severely swollen and he could barely walk. This was the closest urgent care, so we rushed there hoping for help. Instead, the staff locked the door and said from inside, “We are closed.” They didn’t even open the door, offer him a chair, or show the slightest concern for someone clearly injured and struggling to stand. There was already a patient sitting inside, yet they refused to help. I understand closing hours, but the complete lack of basic humanity and professionalism was shocking. If this is how injured patients are treated, this place should not call itself urgent care. Extremely disappointing.

If you need a fast but accurate diagnosis and care then City Med is where you should go. I am on Medicare with no secondary insurance and the cost is negligible. The doctors are well trained and the diagnosis is right on the money. Thank you for being there City Med!

The first time I had an infection in my throat I was taken care of fairly quickly. This second time, I’m not sure what was wrong with me but I couldn’t stop throwing up and I felt like I was going to pass out. After waiting for 45 mins since the lady at the reception couldn’t verify my insurance. It got to the point where I almost threw up in-front of her or kept running back and forth to the bathroom. Each time I was able to speak to her she kept telling me that my insurance card wasn’t working (she was very annoyed, expressionless or looking at me with a smirk) so I’d have to pay 300-350 if I wanted to be seen. I felt so sick I literally told her that I’d rather just die and she just looked at me and said okay. I stepped outside and threw up, a pedestrian walking by offered to help take

No idea why the negative reviews. I’ve been here on multiple occasions for different reasons and not once have I had a bad experience. Everyone is always friendly and professional. I’ve been given excellent medical care for all of my diagnosis’. The exams performed were appropriate to what my symptoms were. They do indeed perform physicals and fill out medical clearances for work. I only received a doctor’s note for one day if it was something that was only contagious for 24hrs, HOWEVER, they have always asked to go back to have the note extended if you need more time to recover if your symptoms are so much that it impacts your ability to work. No complaints here.

I came in with what turned out to be a life-threatening, medication-induced rash and the condescending doctor sent me home with a cream. 🤡 I very nearly could’ve died. So that’s the kind of service you’ll get here, people who shouldn’t be practicing medicine. But don’t worry, they’re rude too. Enjoy!
