CityMD Port Jefferson Station Urgent Care - Long Island

I recently visited this walk-in clinic and was extremely pleased with the care I received. From the moment I arrived, I felt that my concerns were taken seriously. I was admittedly a bit nervous about my symptoms, but the doctor and staff were thorough, attentive, and reassuring throughout the entire visit. Thankfully, everything turned out to be okay, and I truly appreciate the professionalism and compassion shown by everyone I encountered. It made what could have been a stressful experience feel calm and well-managed. I’m very grateful for the excellent care provided.

Didn’t wait too long for my scheduled appointment, the place was clean and quiet, and not to sound unprofessional but the pa who helped me was a MAN: so empathic kind that it made me want to marry him the way he was so attentive. The doctor was also very kind and supportive and thoughtful. I have a complicated situation, so from what I could tell them and address in one appointment, they did their best to help, guide and assure me. I didn’t leave with answers nor expect to but they cleared up any problems I was worried about and took their time with me.

The assistant Dave and Dr. Dave were both excellent. I only have one complaint the new way to sign in with the QR code is horrible but the front desk lady was very helpful and delightful. Now not all city md’s are the same but this one is the only one I would go to cause everyone is delightful that I came across.

Waited for 1 1/2 hour to be told I may be next. Many people without appts were taken before me and it be ok if they were really in need of urgent care but it did not seem to be the case. Poorly managed check in process that badly needs improvement and people working the desk without attitudes.

Everyone in the Port Jefferson CityMD was wonderful!! The nurses were very sweet and caring, the physician was very thorough and kind. The X-ray tech was great. The doctor was careful to make sure everything was correct and I felt very relieved to have had her. The follow up call from the clinical tech made sure I understood exactly what medications I was to take for my pneumonia and they want a follow up X-ray done in 6 weeks. So very thorough in my care. In many ways, it’s so much easier going to CityMD than my primary for these instances. Most everything is done in house, I don’t have to run around. That’s very much appreciated when you’re sick.
