CityMD Northport Urgent Care- Long Island

Don’t go here because it’s convenient you’re just wasting more time and money. The doctors are incompetent. I can’t even figure out how every time I’ve come in with suspicion of something, they say the tests negative or normal but follow up with my GP. The next day I end up at my GP and EVERY time magically somehow within 24 hours that test is positive or abnormal and I’m told there’s no way it wasn’t the same the day prior and I should’ve been on antibiotics for days. Either that or they don’t even look at you and write a script for Z pack. Horrible. Also had an experience where the doctor here wrote the scan script for the wrong section of my body?? And when I called about it he fought with me and insisted that he didn’t… bizarre.

The City MD in Northport is a very shady office. I was reassured by the front desk I wouldn't have any out of pocket expenses with my insurance for a simple flu shot. Since then I have received multiple bills, received multiple calls and I'm now being threatened with collections that I owe $225 for the flu shot I was assured I would have no out of pocket for. I just called the office and they said my insurance didn't cover it and I'm responsible for the $225 bill! I got upset and asked to speak to a manager saying I would have never went there if there was a chance I'd have to pay for it. I wouldn't even pay $50 let alone $225!! I threatened to report them for fraud then they said I can just pay 50% like they're doing me a favor. Now I have to call my insurance company and report them. Ter

Let me start by saying, I’ve never written a review online about anything ever but in this case it was necessary. Was my first and last time going to this location for medical assistance. It was terrible. The young man William who brought me into the back was clearly in a terrible mood and didn’t hide it. His bedside manner made me very uncomfortable, he seemed angry (literally slamming the door and sighing loudly). I was there for a Covid/flu test and was feeling terrible, I’ve had these tests before and know they can be uncomfortable but when he shoved the swab in the second nostril I lurched back and said out loud “too far, that was too far” and he said “I know it’s uncomfortable”. I came in today with sliced off finger tips from a mandolin slicer. The male Dr did not even want to look at my wounds. He wouldn’t open my bandages so I had to do it- barely looked, and then did Not clean them, just put average bandages- not even finger ones- so loosely on top on my fingers that they fell off right away. The nurse and receptionists were nice and the Dr wasn’t rude just completely disinterested. My husband did a better job with zero training.

The large white haired female doctor with glasses has horrific bedside manner being exceedingly rude, and also gave me improper medical advise. The male doctor I've seen has always been polite though and very helpful. And because it was related to the same issue I had mentioned to her what he had said about it. And her response was "do you want to come back on another day when he's here then?" Along with a lot of other incredibly demeaning and rude things that she said to me. My honest advice if you go in and you see her, take the only decent advice that she gave me and just leave and come back another day when somebody who isn't a bad person who insults and demeans and is rude to her their patients, and actually knows what they're talking about is there.
