CityMD Inwood Urgent Care - Manhattan

They misdiagnosed my son a few months ago. They diagnosed him with step throat when he actually had mono, leading him to unnecessarily take antibiotics. This diagnosis came after he tested negative for strep. Recently, I took my 90-year-old father to CityMD (Dyckman) because of high blood pressure and chest pains. After a thorough examination and EKG, they recommended that he go to the emergency room for a blood test to check for a heart attack. This was a sound recommendation, but they overlooked the fact that my father had pneumonia. The ER doctor immediately noticed it when he checked his lungs and breathing.

I went in with a piece of glass in my foot and the young women who brought me in the office and took down my purpose for the visit was very friendly and professional. The woman who came in to treat me, walked in with a crutch and was extremely rude. She wasn’t there to do anything. Asked when I stepped into the glass and immediately said she needed to take an X-ray. I couldn’t believe the abuse and medical waste. Then she refused to treat me unless I had an X-ray. Imagine that! I went home, sit it myself in five minutes. The glass was the size of a crumb. Best part, I asked for confirmation that the visit wouldn’t be billed but was told that because vitals were taken, we did something”. As a person working in healthcare we’ve been told vitals isn’t skilled and therefore non-billable. Also,

I took my 9 month old baby to this place because he had rashes all over his body. I carefully explained all the symptoms he had before the rash appeared, and the doctor had the audacity to say, “Let’s do some research and see what it could possibly be.” Seriously? A doctor Googling in front of the patient to figure out what’s wrong? That was absolutely ridiculous. To make things worse, I was charged $100 only to be told to take my baby to his regular doctor. Excuse me? What’s the point of having a place called Urgent Care if you don’t actually provide any care? Please DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE

Please FIRE JAYLEEN. She said she is the shift lead and had the worst most attitude. Basically tried to discourage me from going. Just dry and rude. She was extremely unhelpful and disrespectful! Completely lost a customer cause of her. Fire her.. and people that will actually make you want to come.

I’m a Broadway performer and very in tune with my body. I get sinus infections like clockwork and as soon as I felt the symptoms, I went to the city MD. I saw Dr. Hoyt. Not only did she NOT speak to me when she walked in the room, she completely minimized my symptoms and denied my feeling sick. She didn’t even ask me what brought me in. She only spoke to the nurse about what I was feeling until I addressed her. She rattled off that I just needed soup and fluids because I wasn’t sick and left to wait the strep/covid/flu tests. When she returned, I told her i didn’t appreciate her telling me I’m not sick. I told her I get sick like this twice a year and the other doctors that I’ve seen AT THIS LOCATION have advised me to come in as early as possible the next time I feel sick. I did and was m
