CityMD Huntington Station Urgent Care- Long Island

I am disgusted at how my sick mother was treated. My Mother (age 72) Suffers from parkinsons- had a tooth infection and sinus infection and needed help. I could'nt help her as I had my baby in the car- She went in feeling very ill and was dismissed by the girl behind the counter who refused to get up to help her. My mother stood at the kiosk confused and helpless. She was foggy from her sickness and in such a state where she could not figure out how to sign in. The girl behind the counter was nasty, snippy and in a hurry. The care she recieved from the dr was adequate, however i am so infuriated by how she was treated by the ONE person who was there to greet her, and help her out. My mother was vulnerable and in distress and this person lacked the humanity of simply getting up and helping

Came in to get stitches removed from my arm. Dr Rodriguez was really nice. He said it was too soon to take them out because of the location on my arm. He bandaged me up and said to get them removed in another week. He looked at the hematoma on my leg and said it was healing…. All this from my fall off a moped on my birthday!

Wonderful staff I am never unhappy with them when we have to go there. They never fail to impress!

The worst experience I’ve ever had at with an urgent care. My son was complaining of a sore throat so bad that he couldn’t swallow and had a fever. I was out of town. My mom took him in and the doctor said it ‘didn’t look like strep’, refused to test him when asked, and tested him instead for a respiratory panel, Covid, Flu, RSV. My son spent days miserable with a high fever. A week later, I developed a high fever and was the sickest I have been in years, I missed days of work. I went to a different urgent care and they immediately tested for strep and it was positive. I asked them to please test my son, but it was the last appointment of the day so I had to come back the next day and get him tested. This will shock you, but he tested positive as well. Doctor was incredibly condescending and even raised his voice at me when I wanted to discuss my symptoms and previous flareups. He clearly did not think it was worth his time.
