CityMD East 79th Street Urgent Care - NYC

Very clean office and able to do an x-ray quickly when needed. But they needed to refer out not just tell me I had a bruise. This led to delay of care, no treatment, and a much longer injury than it could've been. Urgent care is well equipped to provide a boot until the patient can get more specialized care and they let me just walk out and told me its a bruise and not to do anything.

This was the absolute WORST CityMD i’ve ever been to in my life! The doctor was the most condescending, disrespectful, and judgemental human being i’ve probably ever encountered. i literally left IN TEARS because of how upset she made me feel with the pure look of disgust on her face when she looked at me while we were in the exam room. i came for something that needed medical attention, which is why anyone and everyone goes to urgent care .. and without even fully assessing my condition - looking at it, or asking more information about the issue this doctor spit out two meds she was going to prescribe me (didn’t explain them or why), so she could be out of the exam room as quick as possible.. Perhaps the most unprofessional medical interaction I've ever had. 3 min before my appointment (that I scheduled in advance), the doctor left the building and made a joke to the office staff about sending the police if he wasn't back in 5 min. I did the intake with the perhaps most unwelcoming PA I've ever met, and waited for an additional 20 min in the patient room with an entirely empty office - presumably waiting for the doctor to return from his coffee break. When he finally did return, I described my symptoms, to which he clearly was not equipped to deal with. Throughout the appointment, I felt judged, humiliated and like I was serving as a stand-in actor in a patient/doctor training course. Worst experience at an urgent care. Shocked that the people who work there are in healthcare. They were rude and misdiagnosed me and didn't give me the correct medicine and I got much sicker. Stay away. They used to be good but it was all new staff who were horrible. It will soon go out of business. Go to Solis for much better care.
