CityMD East 50th Urgent Care - NYC

For the sake of god. I made appointment at 4.30 and it’s 5pm now. Still waiting. And there is no patients here besides me and another gentleman. What the hell happened to this city MD . It never used to be like this. Completely unacceptable. Do not come to this location. One of the receptionist was nice though.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I just had an absolutely traumatizing experience with Dr. Thomas. He is extremely rude, unprofessional, touched me without my consent, and assaulted me. I went in to get tested for strep throat. The secretary and nurse were kind and professional, but I waited a very long time for the doctor, and when he came in, he was not wearing a mask. He was also immediately rude from the jump, and instead of politely asking why I was in today, he basically asked me what my problem was. Normally, the doctors or nurses ask you to remove your mask yourself before they do any tests. He reached for my mask himself to try to take it off without asking or saying he was going to do that! Booking an appointment does nothing to decrease your wait time. Wait time with an appointment: 1 hour, 15 minutes. Total visit: 2 hours. The receptionist with red hair told me there were two patients ahead of me, then proceeded to tell multiple people the same exact thing. Patients come in because they are at a low and do not feel well. The least you can do is not blatantly lie to them. 4 stars for the care. 1 star for the process.

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the care my mother and I received at your facility yesterday. What was intended to be a straightforward urgent care visit turned into an upsetting and unacceptable experience. After waiting patiently for over 90 minutes to see Dr. Maria Frank, we were first attended to by an assistant named Ashley. Her lack of experience was immediately evident. She discharged a previous patient prematurely and then proceeded to mishandle a COVID/flu swab on my mother. Her technique was not only incorrect but unnecessarily aggressive—so much so that I had to intervene and ask her to stop. The whole point of coming here was to get a TB test. Was asked for insurance but was told insurance doesn’t cover this and had to pay 225. When I showed up to get it read I made an appointment and was told that I would still have to wait over an hour. This didn’t make sense because other individuals with later appointments or no appointments at all, that showed up after me were seen before me. I find it absolutely ridiculous with the systems that are in place in this establishment.
