CityMD Chelsea Urgent Care - Manhattan

I had a great experience here, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the PA I saw (Ambrosino) was very informative and reassuring. Fantastic bed side manner. I don’t understand why there’s so many bad reviews. I’ve been here several times with no issue.

I visited City MD in Chelsea with an acute cough. They prescribed antibiotics and a chest X-ray that I did right away in another facility. The doctor said she would call me back the same day but it most likely was pneumonia. On my way back home, I bought the prescription and waited. When she didn’t call back at 8pm, I decided to start on the medications - 2 strong antibiotics and mucomyst. After three days of not hearing back I called again. My X-rays are normal. I had to insist to ask if I should keep on taking the antibiotics. Finally, the answer is no. Finally the prognosis is ……. Acute cough!!! This is all so not professional and irresponsible. I’m truly disappointed .

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at CityMD. I came in for a simple exam that should’ve taken no more than 20 minutes, but I ended up waiting over 2 hours just to be seen. The staff wasn’t communicative about the delay, and it felt like my time didn’t matter at all. If you're in a hurry or value your time, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

had a scheduled appointment time. signed in and they had me pay upfront. then they announce to the entire waiting room it would be at least an hour before anyone was seen. would avoid if possible.

I came in because of a tick bite. The doctor was very uninterested in my situation and honestly could not care less. He also lacked knowledge on the guidelines for preventative antibiotics and said it was too late and that there was no point. if I didnt look it up and ask my other friends in med school I wouldnt have taken the antibiotics
