My wife had a heart attack on Oct,26th 2023. Christus in Texarkana put her on 2 blood thinners, heart medicine and 2 blood pressure medicines for a problem with her heart that cannot be fixed with surgery. They told her she will be on these meds for the rest of her life.. She been on them 13 months now with no episodes at all. Now Mr. Sheppard has evidently decided that since she has no insurance and cannot afford an office visit that he will no longer renew her prescription. So he's willing to basically just let her die since she can't afford to pay his office for visits. What a quack... I'd just bet if it was his wife or child he wouldn't hesitate to whip out that prescription pad. I refuse to believe he cares about any patient unless their insurance or wallet is making his bmw payment,

Dr. Bennett, Devin Shepherd CNP, and Dr. Hanson are all awesome!!! Its hard to find a health care provider these days that actually cares...they do. Me being female, I feel comfortable with Dr. Hanson. She is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend her!! She takes the time to listen and she genuinely cares!! (They all do) And with the "My Chart" app it is easy to schedule appointments, request refills, or message them with any questions you may have! I couldn't ask for any better!!!

My Dr. Went on maternity leave. I had to see Devin Shepherd the nurse practitioner to get my medications redone and here we are 14 days later and the pharmacy has not received anything from these people and I am out of my medication. Medications that are necessary and I have been taking for years. Medications that CANNOT just be stopped abruptly might I add. Nevermind the fact that I do not have health insurance so I pay out of pocket for both my doctors visit and my 600$ a month prescription. It would be nice if they could just do their job.

I went to see a Doctor at this clinic on May 2, I wasn’t in the waiting area 5 minutes and I went into cardiac arrest. These amazing nurses and doctors got my heart back beating and kept me stable until the ambulance arrived. Christus Health saved my life and I am forever thankful.
