Very polite and helpful. They made me feel like I was a human being and cared about during my week-long stay. They even brought my father a recliner, a bed, and meals so he could keep me company.

The ER is rushed. They ask you to write a check in and put your social on a piece of paper. Then they rush you in and out. There aren’t any doctors just a nurse practitioner so I was just given ibuprofen and sent home with no real treatment because no doctors in the ER. The cafeteria is small but has good food. The new 1984ish check in kiosks are creepy. As an outpatient I can’t move around freely without an unpaid volunteer asking to see my drivers license.

Been here 5 different times with heart issues, pneumonia, upper respiratory infection and copd in icu and 2nd floor . Numerous times my meds have been admistered late almost uo too 2 hrs , meals not being delivered to me by kitchen , had iv intrusion , and some nurses have severe issues with thier attitude. Dr Wang or Wong isn't worth a damm i self discharged . Was admitted at another hospital and am in icu there due to the incompetence at akic e hospital. Still waiting to hear from someone but they won't call back

Went in for a colonoscopy. Was told to be here before 8 am got here at 7:30 and only for them to forget about me. They pulled me to the back at 8:20 and waiting 7 1/2 hrs to do a 25 min procedure. What a waste of time. NEVER AGAIN. I’ll head to corpus or Kingsville in the future

I went to this emergency room at this hospital because I was having an allergic reaction and went into Anaphylactic shock. I was given steroids and benadryl, mind you I had a swollen face and throat, which wasn’t going down. The nurse that attended to me was very nice and was keeping a close eye on my condition. She noticed I broke out in more hives and said mention this to the Dr when she steps in, and I did just that. The Dr. said “Oh, I don’t think those hives are associated with this” and my response was what do you mean I’m getting more hives as we speak and she brushed it off and continued to say that those new hives that were appearing on my skin had nothing to do with my current condition and stepped out. Nurse came in and asked what did the Dr say I told her what the Dr told me. S
