Children's Hospital Los Angeles

I was rushed to Children’s hospal in January of 1945. I am now 81, and I would not have had the life that I have enjoyed for the following 80 years had it not have been for children’s hospital for that very early surgery.

Had a good experience, except for having to wear a mask in May 2025. Was seen quickly, able to schedule follow-up appointments in a reasonable time. We came for dermatology, Dr. Hughs was informative and helpful. Wanted to see the opthemologist, but would of had to wait 6 months for an appointment, so we had to go elsewhere.

We scheduled the appointment just a few days in advance and arrived at the location at 9:30 AM. After filling out the forms, the staff informed me that the waiting time would be 1.5 to 2 hours because my appointment was considered an “add-in.” This experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I plan to report this issue to higher authorities. The facility should prioritize proper scheduling to respect patients’ time instead of exploiting them for maximum profit. This approach is unacceptable and unprofessional. Zero star. Follow up: After waiting for two hours, we were finally called in at 11:30 AM, just 30 minutes before the office was scheduled to close at 12. They could have easily scheduled my appointment for 11:30 instead of havi

The Doctor is nice but the ladies up front are not that friendly and I’ve never had that experience with pediatrician doctors offices. Also not very accommodating at all, you nearly have to ask the Doctors when you’re in the room with them for certain appointments and he has to tell the front desk to work with your dates and times.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Edison. She is VERY kid friendly, and makes them feel comfortable and listened to. My son saw her for a broken thumb, and my daughter saw her for a fractured wrist. Each time, she was very thorough explaining the breaks and the treatment to me. My daughter's break was severe and she was nervous. Dr. Edison put her at ease. I felt confident in the care both my kids were given at the time. She even scheduled a 6mo follow up to make sure my daughter's wrist was growing at the proper rate.
